To streamline the range we morphed the high-performance Freeride Eagle line into our cutting-edge pack of Sharks. The Shark’s finely CAD-tuned scoop rocker lines deliver performance and comfort. The compact and balanced outline, with wider center and narrower tail shapes supported by our CAD Logical Volume Flow, guarantees control and comfort in any conditions. Smooth rails carve through chop like powder for satisfying jibing sensations, and a clean Power-V bottom shape ensures swift water release for outstanding speed and turnability.
The larger 135 and 150 sizes are available in unbeatable value High Resistance Skin (HRS) that’s perfect for everyday use.

2009 fanatic SHARK HRS

Without a doubt the hardest boards to develop are those which must combine the most elements to appeal to all riders. Our philosophy for our bigger Freeride line, the Sharks, is not just to take the easy option of building wide, easy to plane shapes with low performance ranges. We took a much harder approach and developed Freeride boards which are not extremely wide, or fashionably short, can be used by intermediates and more experienced sailors, with an incredible all-round performance. As with our other Freeride boards, the Shark is also now offered in two versions, a quality/durable HRS version, and the new improved Carbon Sandwich Limited Edition, for the absolute best Freeride sessions ever!
All outlines, scoop rocker lines as well as the rail shape and the bottom design were carefully analysed in the computer, then shaped by a CNC machine. The result is a perfectly balanced shape, with loads of performance and maximum comfort for sailing. Especially different in feeling is the new re-tuned rocker line, which is a lot smoother than the previous models, particularly in choppy water - the Sharks float effortlessly and do not lose any of their great top end potential, with a free, fast feeling. Optimal centre and tail widths make the Sharks very easy to jibe and control, perfect for intermediates learning foot-steering and easy planing. The perfectly smooth rail/deck shape and multiple footstrap options ensure all freeriders will feel totally at ease and get the maximum performance out of the Sharks.

Short and wide is not the answer! We listened to the experts when we were designing our Viper range of Beginner/Family boards – the vast network of windsurfing school organisations. This network provides us with great feedback to design boards that will both attract and keep beginners in our sport. These schools have immense experience with all types of beginners and their input directly influenced our Viper range - modern design concepts combined with proven experience.
Long, stretched outlines and a finely-tuned CAD stretched power rocker line guarantee a long waterline. This is essential for maximal sub-planing performance and paves the way to first time planing experience. The perfect and equally balanced volume distribution makes Windsurfing fun and easy - from the very first step on the board. A daggerboard system vastly increases the sub planing performance by offering additional stability. This is the proven guarantee to staying upwind/coming back to the beach, critical for beginners and light wind cruising. Advanced windsurfers can also enjoy the Vipers as light wind Freeride boards, with plenty of footstrap positions to choose from and an optional tuning kit to further boost performance.

With the help of our tuning kit, the Viper can be further performance tuned into a Fun board, which can be used without a daggerboard. With this tuning kit, the daggerboard case can be closed at the bottom and on the deck of the board, whilst the daggerboard casing is filled with a specially made foam insert. With the closed daggerboard case and the 50cm Freeride GFK fin, the Viper can be converted within seconds into a light wind Freeride board, with a great performance potential!
